ARDs:

To start us off, what we do best, Anti-Reflective Devices (also known as ARD or Killflash). For more history on what they are, visit our page on ARD History. Our idea for creating this stems from a disappointment of performance from companies that make them with a wide angle of reflection, overpriced, unavailability, or any combination of those three reasons.

Many ARDs sold by resellers, small businesses, and even big-name brands fall short when it comes to actually reducing reflections—the core purpose of an ARD—not just adding a "tacticool" look. One major brand even claims their ARDs eliminate reflections beyond 33 degrees from the viewing angle. But when you lay that out physically, that's still a prime angle for glint to occur. In our opinion, leaving over a third of the viewing arc vulnerable is simply too much room for reflection.

Our solution:

All our ARDs cut out any reflections beyond 20 degrees from the viewing angle, with our scopes specifically being between 11 and 14 degrees. We achieve this with one of two methods: changing ARD depth or different grid style.

Any optic with a 40mm or larger objective lens receives our coarse grid design. This reduces material presence on the XY axis, allowing for better light transmission without compromising performance. Instead of relying on denser mesh, we achieve superior anti-reflection by increasing the grid depth—blocking reflections beyond 14 degrees, which is over twice the coverage offered by leading competitors.

Our LPVO optics receive a specialized treatment with our medium grid, designed specifically for objective lenses between 30mm and 40mm. This grid allows us to shorten the overall length of the ARD, minimizing bulk while still achieving effective reflection control beyond 11 degrees—delivering both compact form and enhanced performance.

Our ARDs for holographic sights also feature the medium grid, carefully shortened to reduce bulk without sacrificing performance. Despite the compact size, they still block reflections beyond 14 degrees—matching the effectiveness of our designs for 40mm+ scopes.

Our smallest ARDs, made for Aimpoints, Holosuns, and other compact red dots, utilize our fine grid—the smallest and most streamlined option we offer. Specifically designed for minimal footprint, these ARDs remain short and lightweight while still blocking reflections beyond 20 degrees. While not as aggressive as our scope-focused models, they outperform any comparable options we’ve encountered on the market.

Airsoft optic protection:

For those participating in airsoft competitions or milsim events who want to run their real optics, our medium and fine grid ARDs offer reliable protection—capable of withstanding a few hits to protect your glass. Several customers have shared their experiences, confirming that our ARDs have saved their optics from damage after taking direct airsoft impacts.
